An imaginative dream house with an indoor slide between floors and pirate ship playground is being sold by a world renowned ‘baby whisperer’ in Ocean Grove.

There are also two secret rooms at the 14 Yellow Gum Drive property, which owners Tizzie and Nathan Maher built about eight years ago with the idea of providing a fun family environment for their children Darragh, Cillian and Ciarán.

Mr Maher, who runs NJ Maher Builders, constructed the five-bedroom house, with other wow-factor extras including an indoor lap pool and spa, theatre room with built-in bar and glow-stone concrete flooring “like black night sky with thousands of stars” after dark.

Ms Hall is a well-known “baby whisperer”, podcaster and author of the Save Our Sleep series, which has been translated into seven languages.

Her line of infant sleep products has been used by celebrities including Carrie Bickmore, plus Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their children.

The 25m indoor lap pool with solar heating and a spa. An underground 105,000L rainwater storage tank on the property has the capacity to refill the pool.

Double Siemens ovens, a 900mm Highland cooktop, dishwasher and dish drawer, plumbed-in coffee station, butler’s pantry and island with feature lighting and a breakfast bench in the kitchen.

The slide is coloured green, orange and white like the Irish flag.

Ms Hall said the custom-made slide stretched between two of the home’s levels and was coloured green, orange and white in homage to her Irish childhood.

“I think the slide has been more fun for adults than kids,” Ms Hall said.

“The most fun we’ve ever had on the slide is my work’s Christmas parties, we put onesies on and slide down.”

The in-ground trampoline provides hours of fun for youngsters.

The sandstone fireplace covers both indoors and outdoors.

One of the “secret” rooms, used as a jigsaw puzzle library, is hidden behind a bookshelf.

“We have another secret room in a long corridor of wardrobes, that is accessed through a wardrobe itself,” Ms Hall said.

A recycled timber deck with access for people with a disability includes a pizza oven, gas plumbed-in barbecue and stone fireplace. The alfresco zone centres around a tall gum tree.

The views are pretty special.

Outside, the property’s 4486sq m bushland setting features an in-ground trampoline and alfresco deck with a pizza oven, gas-plumbed barbecue and stone fireplace.

The two-level pirate ship has a sandpit, flag, bell and steering wheel.

Reclaimed timber pylons from Portarlington pier and Aireys Inlet sandstone were used in the build.

The home is surrounded by bushland.

The slide can be seen set into the wall shelving.

The kids play in one of the secret rooms in in the house.

Bellarine Property director Levi Turner has the listing, which is for sale with a $4.5m-$4.95m asking range.

Expressions of interest close at 4pm on March 9.
